Prepress for Offset Printing
It can be easily said that the "printing is the easy part"!
Our proof, "is not in the pudding" so to speak, but in the successful—"on-time"-- completion of your finished project and as is true with any printing operation; this recipe for success begins in the "Pre-Press" department.
At the Fitch Group production facility, we have the in-house resources to produce your print job both offset (ink-on-paper) as well as, digitally (“toner on paper”). Given our dual capabilities, our prepress department understands the importance of "pre-flight". All client jobs are thoroughly reviewed, analyzed, formatted and imposed to fix any problems before your project starts to be manufactured.
Our experienced staff utilizes all of the newest technology and software on both Mac and PC platforms. The prepress department understands color and complex trapping issues so you don't have to! At the Fitch Group, we're trained to recognize and correct problems before the job is on the press.
We utilize a computer-to-plate ("CTP") workflow; this process includes electronic design and direct imaging of printing plates from our customers' project files. After producing true and accurate proofs for client review, the plates are then imaged and then mounted on our offset presses for print output.
